Explosive new allegations that financial reports of Manchester City were “a web of lies” that allowed them to float UEFA spending rules and it should be investigated by UEFA, this is according to Premier League clubs senior figures. A news magazine has released additional material from Football Leaks Whistle Blower, including extraordinary claims on how senior characters in City owned by Sheikh Mansour proposed to bypass Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules of UEFA.

The story claims that “sponsors from the owner’s home country simply send more money” if there are shortcomings and details about suggestions that significant portions of the sponsorship funds were provided by the company of Mansour, Abu Dhabi United Group. It was also alleged that board member Simon Pearce responded when the city’s chief financier Jorge Chumillas in an internal email if they could change the payment date for the Abu Dhabi, sponsors: “Of course, we can do what we want.”
