Inter Milan and Manchester United are the top 2 European clubs that Vidic performed with back when he was still an active player and the Serbian defender was a regular starter for both of those teams.

Being a consistent starter in both Inter Milan and Manchester United, this has allowed NemanjaVidic on being able to compete in various different competitions as well as also being able to face off against a number of types of players.

It’s been around 7 months since NemanjaVidic announced his retirement from playing football at a competitive level and after having performed in top clubs and European competitions, the Serbian recently took time to talk about which player was the toughest one for him to play against as a defender.

As a defender, the main role that they have to accomplish is keep out the offensive forces from the opposing team by not allowing them any space to pass, dribble or move the ball around and hopefully get the chance to steal the ball away from them. …

FC SCHALKE 04 CONFIRM BABA RAHMAN’S NEW STATUS

German giant FC Schalke 04 has confirmed the new status of Chelsea defender Baba Rahman ahead of the forthcoming season.

The Bundesliga club say the player is set to play for them in a season long deal agreed with the London-based English club. the Ghanaian full back is set to join the rest of his new team mates in Austria for their pre season training, according to the club.

Chelsea is expected to confirm the deal shortly, especially in light of the defensive problems the team is expected to suffer from as the new season begins. The first choice for the right back position Branislav Ivanovic is set to miss the beginning of the season slated for new week due to a dislocation in his shoulder. Ivanovic has been struggling with form of recent and the injury might further rain down on his form when he eventually returns. However, Schalke used their official twitter page to confirm the deal as they posted: “Abdul Rahman Baba is travelling with the Schalke squad to the training camp.”

According to reports from investment banker Keith Harris, some Premier League stars that joined in the last campaign would not have been able to play if the vote to leave the European Union was in play.

The banker told Sky Sports News that players like Romelu Lukaku, Dimitri Payet, N’golo Kante and even Anthony Martial that make a huge impact in the past season might not have been able to join their clubs.

LEICESTER CITY MUST WAIT ONE MORE DAY FOR FIRST ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE TROPHY

English Premier League surprise squad, Leicester City must wait at least one more day for its first English Premier League title.

This is as a result of the draw against Manchester United at Old Trafford. Had the team won the game, the premier league title would have been sealed off. Manchester United led first but the resilient Foxes fought hard to pick a very crucial point.

The team would be crowned champions if second-placed Tottenham Hotspur, which trails Leicester by eight points, fail to beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Spurs would have a tough job as the Bridge is a place where they have not won since 1990.

After the game, Leicester City player Wes Morgan said:

“It was very tough. Manchester United dominated possession and we had to dig in and be resilient.

“It’s a point and it’s a step in the right direction.

“It proved to be an important goal and to score at Old Trafford was a great feeling. It’s not ours until we get two hands on the trophy.”

Leicester finished the game with 10 men after Drinkwater was sent off for a second bookable offence five minutes from time meaning he would miss Leicester’s next game at home to Everton, when victory will secure the title even if Tottenham beats Chelsea. …

Sean Dyche confirms that Danny Ings will probably be leaving Burnley

The coach of Burnley, Sean Dyche has confirmed that Danny Ings is very likely to be making his way out of the relegated club during this summer as there are a number of clubs interested in signing the 22 year old forward.

At the age of 22, Danny Ings made a total of 35 Premier League appearances in this season for Burnley and he managed to find the back of the net on 11 occasions. This has been enough for the young player to attract the attention and interest of big clubs including: Manchester United, Liverpool and Real Sociedad as they all have shown interest in signing Danny Ings during the summer transfer window.

Even the manager of the team believes that it will be very difficult to keep hold of Danny Ings at Burnley beyond the summer transfer window as the interested clubs are ready to offer enticing offers for the player in order to sign him as fast as possible and the player himself wants to face a bigger challenge, this won’t happen if he stays at Burnley as the club has been relegated to the Championship League.

Louis Van Gaal happy with Squad

Louis Van Gaal believes that the main reason behind Manchester United performing much better this season is that there is more balance in the squad now.

The Red Devils have won 5 out of their 7 games in the Premier League 2015-16.

They topped the table last weekend when they defeated the Black Cats at home.

Speaking post that win, Van Gaal said, “This is a good bunch of players. But, wins are never guaranteed. We might lose somewhere down the line. Luck plays its part as well. But, one thing is for sure is that we have got more balance in the squad this time around and thus, we should be having more positive results.”

“Improvement is something that we should always look for. We have to keep getting better and better with each passing week.”

“As far as I am concerned, rotating the players is much easier for me. If you had observed the previous season, I didn’t opt for much rotation as the balance was not there. So, I would say I am more comfortable now. But, you can only do so much as manager. It’s the players who hold the key. If the structure that is there in place is acceptable to everyone or not, that is very important. At the moment, I am doing my job and the players are doing their job fantastically well too.” …

Even with the dominance that Manchester United had implanted into the game, they still lost the match as Chelsea continues their run for their 5^th Premier League title.

There are a total of 6 Premier League matches left in the season that Chelsea has to play before the campaign reaches its end and with an advantage of 10 points, Jose Mourinho and his men are in a very comfortable position as they only have to win 3 more matches and it will be enough for them to be crowned as the champions of England. …
